Is this painting about power with underlying beauty or beauty with underlying power? What we see on the surface, like the ocean, a landscape or even a woman can be either. Perceiving elegance and strength at the same time causes us to see beneath appearances and rely on wisdom… for me this is the knowing that both exist simultaneously.
